Every first and third Thursday of the month, the Fresno City Art Council presents Art Hop where venues display local artists work FREE to the public. The Fresno Art Museum participates as well on the third Thursday. The museum is open from 5pm to 8pm. To see the other current participating venues: museums, galleries, studios etc. click HERE. A list of all participants can be viewed HERE, however just because they are listed does not mean they always participate.
Humm now I need to get a babysitter so I can spend the night out with my hubby at Art Hop next week.

Men Who Cook Event benefitting the Fresno Art Museum
Friday June 4th, 2010 the 13th Annual Men Who Cook event is coming to the Fresno Art Museum. From 6pm to 9pm come and sample the wonderful food and enjoy the music while you wander through the exhibits. This event is $20 per person. Proceeds will benefit the museum and its education programs. Fresno's museums have really suffered financially during the recession, this event is an affordable way of supporting the humanities in our city. For more information check out the FAM website HERE.

Fresno State Farm Market also is a wonderful produce store,
Mon-Fri 8am-7pm

If you know of any others, let me know. Be careful some places appear to be farmer's markets, however their produce is imported and defeats the whole purpose of fresh and local.
