Fresno Bee - Fresh Produce

I was looking through the Fresno Bee classifieds and, although unexpected, I was not completely surprised to find individuals post ads for their fresh produce. This Thursday listed under the Farmer's Marketplace almonds, dried apricots, peaches and figs. Fresh pomegranate juice, jelly, honey. Olive oil by the gallon, grapes, yams, persimmons and cherry juice. Sounds delicious. The best thing about buying local without shipping is that these goodies are at their best, truly ripe off the tree (or vine). So if you've order your Sunday Bee or get it every day, scan over the little Farmer's Market section and you might find someone down the street you can support in his/her gardening or farming efforts.

Fresno's Drop in Daycare

Drop-in Daycare is a way of getting a few hours to yourself without having to arrange a babysitter. You can simply show up and drop your kid/s off for an hourly rate and they get to play while you run errands, shop, or de-stress. Notice many are open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights.

I'm sure this is not a comprehensive list for Fresno, however I wanted to share the information.

Kidspark offers drop-in daycare for children 2-12 years old for a rate of $7.50 an hour, $4.50 for a sibling, and $3.00 for any additional siblings. They have additional events and offers a preschool from 9:30-11:30 on weekdays.
