My frugalista friend Heather and I braved the Clovis Farmer's Market yesterday with my kiddies in tow. I was a little worried about crowds and parking, but I had no need to be. We showed up around 5:30 and found parking in the lot behind EECU. I busted out the double stroller and we enjoyed walking up and down the streets. The entertainment section is on the south end now, the produce has its own section. Then you have the food vendors in the middle on the east and west sides. To the north you have the other vendors. Most of the produce was priced and a dollar a pound! It was beautiful and most vendors gave samples. The restaurants are also a nice option to duck inside to get out of the heat if it gets to be to much. There are also public restrooms that aren't too scary. I was impressed that it wasn't too crowded which makes it easier for those of us with little ones. Great family event. Come support our local farmers! Some even accept WIC and Senior Farmer's Market vouchers.
