"The Discovery Center Offers an Urban Wildlife Park Right in the Heart of Fresno
The Center functions as an outdoor educational and recreational sanctuary for children who want to experience the natural world in a safe environment. We have a pond, native plants, areas to dig, and many other things to explore. Come take a tour of our site's many exhibits, including the Deutsch Cactus Garden and the Gemini Space Capsule, or sign-up for one of our many classes, from Animal Mania to Earthquakes and Volcanoes."

I really enjoy the pond and the tortoises. You can request small nets to catch minnows and pollywogs and sometimes they will give you zucchini to feed to tortoises as well. Click HERE for more information.

There is a very nice garden on the far end that is separate from The Discovery Center and holds its own events. Grab a newsletter to see what they offer. I know in the past they have held a chocolate night, wine tasting, etc. for adults.
